Junaid Jamshed (Shaheed 1964 – 2016) R.A (RahmatulAllah) was Pakistani youth icon in 1990s era. He was one of the most famous youth personality in his 20s. Dil Dil Pakistan is renowned slogan for every Pakistani. He was a Pakistani recording artist, singer, businessman, magnate, entrepreneur, philanthropist , naat reciter and Islamic preacher. After leaving music, Junaid devoted himself for Islamic preaching and dawah. Junaid launched a clothing brand J. (J Dot) with a partner. He established the clothing business on Islamic laws & principles. As a result J. gained international recognition and become a prominent brand of Pakistan. In addition the brand also captured noticeable share in worldwide markets.

Childhood & Early Life

Junaid Jamshed was born in Karachi. His father was Jamshed Akbar Khan a captain in Pakistan Air Force (PAF). His mother was Nafeesa Akbar Khan, the granddaughter of the nawab of Loharu State. Junaid was hardworking student till his intermediate 2nd year. He used to do school and college home work regularly. His routine was to wake up early, went to school or college then came back to home and then went on for games. He never has habit to stay awake in night. All this routine was because of his father disciplined life. Junaid was very close and attached with her mother.

Junaid started singing in 1986 and joined a band named vital signs. Later he started solo albums. DIL DIL PAKISTAN was their most famous patriotic song.

After 2002, Junaid Jamshed sab started thinking to quit music, as he wanted to get internal peace of soul. Junaid always felt there is something missing in his life. Junaid Jamshed sahib met Maulana Tariq Jameel sahib at Raiwind Tabligi Jamaat Ijtama. In the meeting, Junaid discussed and told about missing of soul’s peace. To answer this question Maulana Tariq Jameel sab said that our soul need Allah and zikar of Allah. Our soul come from heavens (Allah) therefore it need Allah and its food is Allah’s remembrance. When it will get hungry, it will made you sad and tense. But we try to find its solution in materialistic things. This is as if you have pain in your right knee and you are putting medicine on your left.

After leaving music, Junaid started thinking about doing business. Once he was sitting in masjid after prayer namaz. He met one of his friend. While talking and discussing Junaid and his friend decided to do business together. After pondering different business ideas, they finally picked Clothing Business (Kapray ka business) and mainly dealing in Shalwar Kameez.
