When we talk about the renowned stars of Pakistan, Momina Mustehsan is one of the prominent names that came in our minds. She is a singer-songwriter and a high profile activist. She sang ‘Awaari‘ in a Bollywood film ‘Ek Villain‘ in 2014.

She was also listed as one of BBC’s 100 Influential Women in 2017 and featured in Forbes ’30 Under 30′ Asia list in 2018. In Coke Studio season 9, Momina sang ‘Afreen Afreen‘ with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan which received huge applause from the audience and she became the queen of everyone’s heart. Her next back-to-back singles, ‘Baari‘ and ‘Baari 2‘ with Bilal Saeed became the top listed in a really short time.


Momina is a social activist and raises her voice against different issues like feminism, education, the role of women in Pakistan and mental health. She also speaks in support of girl’s education and particularly about gender equality.

Momina is also planning an education program for children in the rural areas of Pakistan. She donated Rs. 1 million to a foundation in the country’s first ever Digital Donation event. Later, she became a part of ‘Taleem Do’ initiative, based in Tharparkar.
