After the mega hit production of ‘Darr Si Jati Hai Sila‘, the award-winning writer ‘Bee Gul‘ and the producer ‘Kashif Nisar’ are pairing again to bring another serial in collaboration with Hum TV. The name of the serial has been inspired by Faiz’s poem ‘Raqeeb Se’. The storyline promises the viewers that it will be different from the previous works of Bee Gul.
While talking about the cast of ‘Raqeeb Se’, Nouman Ijaz as Maqsood Sahab and Iqra Aziz as Meera are the leading characters. Iqra Aziz is famous for her stealing performances in ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’, ‘Suno Chanda’ and ‘Qurban’. Hidiqa Kiani, Sania Saeed and Faryal Mehmood as Sakina, Hajra and Insha are also part of the serial.
First two episodes have been on aired already and viewers are loving it. The story revolves around Maqsood Sahab, Hajra and Sakina. It is not typical but a complex love story full of emotions. The story starts when Sakina with her daughter suddenly reached to her former lover’s (Maqsood Sahab) door at night.
Interestingly, Maqsood Sahab’s wife Hajra and daughter Insha knows their love story by heart. Hajra’s character has showed so strong that she didn’t even complain her husband after seeing Maqsood Sahab’s first love in her house. Rather she treats her wounds and listen to her with devotion. Iqra Aziz as Meera steal the show by her final outburst in the last night performance.
Hadiqa Kiani’s shaky confidence in the first episode had us fooled with her shaky confidence but it gradually revealed that she is a determined and strong woman underneath.
Noman Ijaz is the man of the house because she is the only male character in the house with four other females. His complex character made him torn between his family and past lover.
According to the production team, ‘Raqeeb Se’ is going to be an unconventional love story that revolves around domestic voilence. Let’s see what will happen next and what difficulties will appear when Maqsood Sahab and Sakina’s past connect with their present.
