The Twitter Account of 45th President of United States of America, Donald Trump has been permanently suspended. According to Twitter, the account suspended due to the risk of further provocation of violence.
After Mr. Donald Trump called the people who stormed the US Capital “Patriots”, it rose more viciousness. Therefore, Twitter locked Mr. Trump profile for 12 hours on Wednesday Jan 2021.
Mr. Trump locked out of his account for 12 hours on Wednesday because he called the people “patriots”, who stormed the US Capitol.
While US Congress ratifying Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election, Out Numbered of Mr. Donald Trump’s supporters gathered and entered the Complex. This caused rise of violence and lead to deaths of four civilians and a police officer.
Twitter said the decision was made “after close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account”.
It comes amid a Big Tech purge of the online platforms used by Mr Trump and his supporters.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted on Thursday that the Silicon Valley companies should restricted Mr. Trump’s “outrages behavior” and permanently suspended him.
Some American personalities have been requesting Twitter to block Mr. Trump Account for past years.
After temporary blockage, Twitter warned again that it would ban Mr. Trump “permanently” if he breached the platform’s policy again.
Later Twitter had to permanently suspended Mr. Trump’s @realDonaldTrump account. But then Mr. Trump tweeted from the US president’s official @Potus account saying he would “look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the future” and railing against Twitter.
However, these tweets were removed from the Twitter platform right after they were posted.
