The idea of volunteer work is not a novel concept; in fact, the practice is encouraged in Europe and the western part of the world. However, when it comes to Pakistan, it is not easy to find such opportunities.

Milkar is a one of a kind Pakistani social service start-up that aims to connect volunteers with community service organizations running all over Pakistan. Milkar works as a link between the partnering organizations and the large volunteering base of Pakistan.

The platform provides volunteers with activities based on their location that require volunteer work. If they are interested, they can register themselves for that activity in no time.

Milkar has already partnered with close to 70 organizations that include some well-known organizations like Akhuwat Foundation, SOS children’s village, Indus Hospital, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Children Healthcare Foundation, and WWF-Pakistan. Within a few months of being operational, Milkar has already received 2000+ volunteers and conducted more than 50 activities.

The platform is a great way to build a stronger community where everyone can feel inclusive and foster a more substantial relationship with each other.

According to the statement released by the platform about their mission, it is all about

Connecting people, skills and good causes is the way to go towards a bright future

Milkar Mission

They are hopeful that the country with almost 64% youth given the right opportunity can drive the society towards unparalleled success.
