Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, SpaceX and the richest man of world, has suggested using another messaging App Signal in replace of WhatsApp. Musk has recommended that Signal is better to use (due to high encryption).
Use Signal

The signal is using efficient encryption to protect communication while sending messages. Elon Musk tweeted this earlier yesterday. The tweet was then retweeted by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
After a white, Signal (App) tweeted from its account that it was working to handle the massive load from users, those downloading and using the Signal App.
Verification codes are currently delayed across several providers because so many new people are trying to join Signal right now (we can barely register our excitement). We are working with carriers to resolve this as quickly as possible. Hang in there.

Elon Musk tweeted after WhatsApp latest privacy policy updates related to secure encrypted messaging (End to End encryption). Elon slam Facebook that WhatsApp was supposed to be using secure encrypted messaging service.
The signal app stores minimal meta data about user. Signal is owned by Non-Profit organization and has no scandal history in monetizing the data of users.
Furthermore the best thing about Signal is it is open source and complete source code for its applications are available to examine any hidden data leakage.
WhatsApp earlier updated its privacy policy regarding How it will process users’ data. How business can use Facebook hosted services to store and manage their WhatsApp chats. How we partner with Facebook to offer integrations across the Facebook Company Products.
